The plastic bags have caused havoc with the civic infrastructure over the last few years. We all are aware of the problems created by choking of sewerage lines by these bags, flowing in the water streams, stuck in the farmlands and overall an eyesore in an otherwise beautiful country. Its time for us to take action and do something about it. Many of of us environmental types have raised hue and cry and get small spans of attention but that’s about it. We have talked about banning the plastic bags, but that did not work as many people get laid off, in the economic situation as it is, that’s not a good idea. We talked of replacing the plastic bags with recycled paper bags but again the cost is too high. We have tried to get people to use reusable handbags to reduce the use of plastic bags, but that hardly had an impact.  Something had to be done before we all get swamped in the Plastic Pollution. Anyone with a good idea ??
